It is allover the press that there is a compensation culture and that something must bedone to reduce car insurance premiums. The reality is that there is not a compensation culture, but rather people have become more aware of their rights when they have a non faultaccident, and quite rightly they should be entitled to claim compensation forthe same.

Fraudulentclaimants should be treated with the disdain they deserve and hopefully they will be.

However,will car insurance premiums drop – I don’t think so as insurers will always find umpteen further reasons why the market has hardened against them.

The banning of referral fees in April 2013 will hopefully see the demise of the middle men making money out of PI claims in return for providing very little service or benefit.

Here at LGS, we have continued our association with the RNIB, and are grateful to clients who are prepared to give a small amount from their settlement damages to the said Charity when they are due to receive their settlement cheques.

We hope to shortly announce a scheme that will take this further at no cost to our clients, and of much benefit to the RNIB – watch this space.
